Abstract

Three species of tachinid flies (Diptera: Tachinidae) are reported new for Sweden and neither of them have been recorded in Scandinavia before. All three species were found in Scania, the southernmost part of the country. Gymnosoma nitens Meigen, 1824 (Phasiinae) was recorded in 2022 in two places. First at an old railway station in Landskrona in June-July and later in a garden outside Lund in September. Paratrixa polonica Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1891 (Exoristinae) was recorded in August 2019 outside Lund in a pine plantation. In the same pine plantation Campylocheta fuscinervis (Stein, 1924) (Exoristinae) was recorded in June 2014. The ecology of the three species is briefly presented together with a short summary of literature and web sites suitable for studying tachinid flies occurring in Sweden.
