The rice armyworm Leucani loreyi (Duponchel, 1827) is reported from Sweden, Öland, Mellstaby. This first specimen was collected when it was visiting a bait of fermented figs on October 13, 2019. The identification, biology, and distribution of Leucania loreyi are briefly discussed.
