Abstract

The Orchard bee Osmia cornuta (Latreille, 1805) is reported from Eslöv in Scania, Sweden. The first specimen was collected visiting an artificial nest (”bee hotel”) in spring 2017. The following year the species was also reared from that same nest. The identification, biology and significance of this addition to the bee fauna is briefly discussed.
